The Future That Never Arrives!

While at the crossroads of thought and contemplation, a whisker crosses my mind and that is "No one can make you feel inferior for who you are or what you can be." No matter how much you languish not to be who you are, you end up being who you are and who you should be.

Many a times we submit ourselves to the situations we are in, yearning to be in a situation we want to be. The result is not exactly what we want, but what has to be.

Read this somewhere, and the abstract version of it is : We end up living our present looking at the future. The future is not what we live in, but the present. We get engulfed in the vicious circle of future that we spoil the present. And the saga continues for a very long time.

Most of you would vouch for the fact that 80% of our lives is spent looking at the unknown, staring at the future, dreaming about the ideal life. In reality, we do not get all that we want when we do and  we end up losing focus on the present. What then follows is a sense of dissatifaction, remorse, regret and feeling of unworthiness.

How do we get out of this vicious circle? As much as we want to adapt our lives to the ideal quotes, books, philosophies we read or lean towards, so much are we screwing our inner self. Wondering why? Because we end up tuning our thoughts, actions and expectations towards what we read and hear. What we are deep inside is corrupted, all in the name of living an ideal situation.

So is there any ideal situation which turns to be real at all? I know not!

Neither am I an idealist nor would like to be one. But my mind has started questioning the ideal concept which is driving most of us towards a void.

Unfurling the practical side of me, why does it take a great deal to accept the facts around us? Why does it take so much of effort to understand our limitations and to live according to those standards? Why does our minds stretch to an extent where it hurts while its back to normalcy? Why are we looking at the void at all? Why do you want to be the person you are not or not destined to be?

While I try to find answers to these mind boggling questions, I would leave you with a thought that, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. And its your decision to choose the side! Do you want to be content with what you have or do you want to lose life looking at an ideal world which, in my words, is never real!! Ponder over!

And no one can make you feel inferior for who you are. You are the best and the most unique human being in yourself. One of a kind! Be proud! Be yourself! :)
