The Eye Of P !!

There is always a striking difference between what you actually are and what people think of you. In simple terms, you are how they perceive you to be. The great laws of perception cannot be decoded because of the varying number of minds and thoughts and roving eyes all over and around you. You just can't help it but be a part of the silly game.

As I sit down to write this, I have innumerable pictures of my ownself through others' eyes, like a slideshow, running down my mind. Some say I'm bold, some say I'm beautiful and some others say I'm bold & beautiful. So which "b" do I belong to?? Well, none, because I wouldn't like to associate myself with any adjective/noun starting with "b". Doesn't matter I belong there or not. Its dangerous! Lol. You got thinking and started listing and mapping. Human brain, the most complicated organ!!

The biggest mistake that most of us do is judging a person at first instance, well, first impression is something that doesn't go well down my throat, logically speaking. How many facets or characteristics of a person do you actually notice and conclude on? How many of those traits are actually true or false? You never know. However, we end up with a mental image of the person and start constructing it into a full-fledged picture within ourselves. This would then become the basis of our interactions with them. Actually speaking, this is not how it should be. I met up with a man who is a boss of a big company. Now, this man thinks I'm dumb. Now this is what he thinks which I really cannot help. I noticed it through a series of communication channels and gestures that this man had gotten all of it wrong. Alas, I never got a chance to correct that. Poor man, I'll leave him like the way it is!! haha.

So you see, there is a lot of difference! The reason I'm sounding like a gyaani is I got a lot of opportunity to work with diversified people from almost all states during my career so far, which did involve people development and management. It really makes a lot of sense to share stuff, important or unimportant, well, that's left to you to perceive the way it should be.

Moving on, taking a cue from the previous paragraph, when you are one of the youngest managers talking big stuff, you are often ridiculed by these older men who talk bigger stuff. Now, again, they perceive you to be a kid and know nothing. A mistake that a mere peasant usually does! Nobody's fault there!

According to me, perception needs to be built over time and during this time you might actually end up knowing the person in real and the room of perception is occupied and you reach the next level of - understanding!

So, don't give yourself away to what somebody has to think of you because you exist the way you are. We need to continue doing that, that's the art of knowing the great laws of perception and conquering them!

Love thyself and the world will be a much better place. That's how you'll start perceiving the world as, then !!! ;)
