Summer Time!

Time for a new blog. Summer in this part of the world, spring's here. Its beautiful and pretty hot. Its also my favorite time of the year, for my birthday is just round the corner!! :)

Drives me to the memory lane, where we had fun as kids, during our summer holidays. Invented games, sweated out through the day, lived each day like never before. Ahhh !! It was so much fun! Time of the year where we did prove costly to our parents. Wanted all the board games that were due through the year!! Played them, played them again until we were bored !!

Then there was the mother of all games, Cricket!! Sun never mattered, sweat did, because that would throw open an invitation by aunts in the neighbourhood for ice creams, juices & salads. It was one big family feasting in the hot sun under one roof. It was riot again with movies and cartoons on cable channels (the only time during the year dads would let us get the cable connection!) and video cassettes. Did I forget the Great World Wrestling Championship?!!! Died to watch them all at one go !! Then followed the trump games. Lol.

Mommies were the sweetest during this time of the year, that they would let us play until 8 in the night. It was now time for badminton and the likes, where we did consider playing with the elder ones, for all the concession we would get!! Time when we would see each other off for weeks, on trips with families! Bro & I did enjoy trips as kids, I think!! ;)

Time would just fly, unnoticed & unaware, then there was Big Daddy waiting for all of us - the school!!

And now, as I'm reminiscent of those times, I realize time just flew, flew past so quickly that I just yearn to get them all back, aware to notice all the changes.

Miss those times, miss that life, carefree and happy and joyful !! Have to wait for another life to get them all back now. My birthday is just beeping in the corner to remind me that its all about grays now!
